Umbrella and Integrated Programming
During the 2015-16 fiscal year, the chapter will focus on the following programming:
The Umbrella Program: Under the leadership of the National Trends and Services Facet, Chapter members will work with the staff of Covenant House Georgia to empower homeless youth as they develop career and college readiness skills and transform their lives for a stable future. Continuing support to this agency and utilizing coordinated services from all five Facets, Azalea City Chapter will provide the following: educational and arts programming and services; meals and other foods items; information and supplies to support wellness and healthy lifestyles; and, exposure to other cultures.
The Integrated Program: With the Services To Youth Facet leading the Integrated Program at Bethune Elementary School along with collaborative efforts from the Arts, International Trends & Services, and Health and Human Services Facets, the Chapter will provide initiatives to develop character, improve reading and literacy, and raise the awareness of developing healthy lifestyles. The Facets will participate in school events and provide healthy snacks, art supplies, books, and educational materials to increase literacy and student knowledge, as well as to help develop good character and better health practices.
